Photography and videography for personal use and within the limitations of our guidelines is permitted on Cemetery grounds.

Guidelines

Requests must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of your requested date. Requests made within less than 2 weeks of the requested date are not guaranteed.

Please read our Photography Guidelines for additional information and requirements, including a few highlights below:

  • Monuments should not be climbed, leaned against, or otherwise touched, as they can and do topple, and are more than 100 years old
  • All shoots before and after gate hours, as well as commercial shoots, involve a signed agreement and at least one month’s notice to set up a photography and/or videography shoot. Fees may apply
  • Photography groups and classes are categorized under “Commercial Shoots” and must be coordinated with the Cemeteries
  • Photographing or otherwise recording funeral ceremonies, funeral processions, or families visiting grave sites is strictly prohibited (except where the photographer is a member of the funeral party or family). All persons present on the Cemetery grounds should conduct themselves with decorum appropriate to a place of mourning, with due respect to those who might overhear them

Commercial Shoots

Photography/videography for commercial use and within the limitations of our guidelines is permitted on Cemetery grounds. The following constitutes a commercial shoot and must be approved by the Cemeteries:

  • Use of models (human or other)
  • Costumes and props
  • Jewelry/art promotion (including for social media)
  • Group and event photography (including engagements and wedding shoots)
  • Photography clubs/groups
  • The use of extensive equipment and lights
  • Financial gain from still or motion pictures
  • Drone photography and/or videography
