Funeral &
Memorial Services

Funeral and memorial services help families celebrate a loved one’s life by expressing their thoughts, sharing memories and paying final respects.

An Important Decision

A funeral service occurs when the body is present and has four main parts: the visitation, funeral, committal, and reception.

In contrast, a memorial service contains much of the same structure, although the deceased’s body is not present at the service. Because a memorial service occurs after the remains have been cared for, there is often more room for creativity. This is because your family can take more time to plan a ceremony and decide how you want to pay tribute to your loved one.

At Laurel Hill West, both of our Chapels have audio-visual technology designed for large-screen displaying of tributes, and, if desired, streaming services on the Internet.

Receptions

Our Atrium and Conservatory at Laurel Hill West are perfect for receptions following services or when planning a service to remember your loved one on an anniversary.

The Conservatory is a spacious and sun-filled setting that can accommodate up to 120 seated guests. For larger groups, an additional cocktail room and outside porch is available.

For a more intimate gathering, the Atrium, inside Laurel Hill Funeral Home, seats up to 40 guests.

We offer several outstanding approved caterers. Refreshment options and personalized menus are available at both locations. For more details, speak with your Family Services Representative or call 610.668.9900 to inquire about availability.
