Archival Collections
Laurel Hill’s archival collections are a unique window into the Cemeteries’ history, as well as the history of our city and nation. Interment records are accessible for scholarly and genealogical research upon request.
About the Collections
Laurel Hill’s archival records consist of minute books, legal documents, administrative records, accounting and financial records, photographs, ephemera, prints, and other documents related to the cemetery. In addition, there is a large collection of burial cards with corresponding lot books and interment records that document the sale of lots and burials at the cemetery from 1836 to the present.
A survey of the collection was conducted in 2015 by The Historical Society of Pennsylvania, which resulted in an updated summary finding aid. *Please note this is for Laurel Hill East only.
