For all things magical and morbidly curious, join the Friends of Laurel Hill at our 7th annual Market of the Macabre. 

Peruse wares and services from 70 local and regional artists and vendors, including assorted oddities and taxidermy, vintage and antiques, jewelry, ceramics, candles, original artwork, and more.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING

No cars will be permitted into the cemetery during the event.

Limited free parking is available at the Marketplace lot located at 3747 Ridge Avenue, across the street from the cemetery; and on the street in the surrounding neighborhood.

As parking options are limited, attendees are encouraged to use ride shares or public transit.

Laurel Hill East is located near the Allegheny stop on the Broad Street Line and the East Falls regional rail train station. The 61 bus stops directly in front of the cemetery at Ridge & Clearfield.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Primary Intensive Training Lot 

Accessibility parking is available directly across the street from event entrance. The lot is labeled PIT and members of the public with mobility concerns may park in any ACCESSIBLE-labeled parking spot.

 

FESTIVITIES

 

  • WXPN’s Culture Cypher Radio host DJ John Morrison 
  • Curious, roaming performances from Alterra Productions, Tiffany Tung, and Circuitous Situationship 
  • Victorian literary salons with Edgar Allan Poe himself from 1 to 3 PM 
  • Free half-hour mini-tours of Laurel Hill from 1 to 3 PM 
  • Meet & greet with the Pennsylvania Bat Rescue’s educational bats from 12 to 3 PM 
  • Small number of food trucks
