Join historian Tom Keels, in partnership with the Lower Merion Conservancy, for a fascinating illustrated journey through the city’s world’s fairs, from the 1876 Centennial to the unrealized dreams of the 1976 Bicentennial, and discover how they transformed Philadelphia’s parks, neighborhoods, museums, architecture, and identity.

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, explore the lasting legacy of these historic events and consider what the 2026 Semiquincentennial may leave for future generations. During the program, guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and beverages. Tom Keels will also host a book signing for Sinners and Scandals of Laurel Hill Cemetery for attendees who pre-purchased a copy during registration.
