Two Gods Film Screening & Discussion

Laurel Hill West
Chapel of Peace

Two Gods is a documentary film about Hanif Muhammad, an Islamic ritual body washer and casket maker and the two boys he mentors through teaching them his craft and profession over the course of several years. A quietly powerful story of faith, redemption, and the healing powers of the rituals that surround grief, Two Gods encompasses life, death, and the struggle to survive.

Following a screening of the film, join Hanif in person along with the film’s director, Zeshawn Ali, for a discussion about the importance of passing down traditions that surround grief and death. The conversation will be facilitated by James Abdullah of Mikal’s Funeral Home.

This event will take place at Laurel Hill West in the interfaith Chapel of Peace, which is the first building on the left just inside the main entrance.
