Join Arboretum Director Aaron Greenberg and Energy Guide Asia IrgangLaden for an arboretum walk that explores how trees react with summer light as we are guided in short meditations that engage with expansion, absorption and illumination.

This program will meet at the Funeral Home, which will be the first building you see when you enter the cemetery from Belmont Ave. Parking is available behind the building, as well as throughout the cemetery.

GETTING HERE:

  • For best GPS driving and public transit directions to the main entrance of Laurel Hill West, please use the address 321 Belmont Avenue, which will guide you to the Funeral Home. For more information on directions to Laurel Hill West, please click here.
  • From the main entrance, follow the signs to the Funeral Home. Free and accessible parking is available in the Funeral Home parking lot. Restrooms are also available at the Funeral Home.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • This event is rain or shine.
  • The tour will run from 10AM-12PM. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your tour time to check-in.
  • Please have your tickets ready to scan either printed or on your phone. If you purchased “Access Card Holder” tickets you must present your Access Card and valid ID at check-in. Without presenting these items you will be charged the full price to attend the tour. 
  • Restrooms will be available at the Funeral Home before and after the program.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:

  • Please dress to be comfortable for the duration of the event – consider heat/sun and any precipitation in the forecast.
  • Bring bug spray, sunscreen, and water.
  • Sturdy, comfortable, walking shoes or boots.
    • We will be walking on hills, grass, and pavement.
  • We’ll be sitting on grass for a few of the meditations. Straw mats will be available at check-in, and a limited number of seats will also be set up at each stop.
  • Notebooks and pens for journaling will also be provided.

ACCESSIBILITY:

  • Accessible parking is available at the Funeral Home
  • This program does require going up and down hills and on uneven terrain, but chairs will be available for those who need a rest.
