A cemetery is a site of memory. Our bodies are sites of memory, too! This workshop invites participants to practice gentle movement as a way to engage with grief and memories of loved ones. Using the pathways that wind through Nature’s Sanctuary, Laurel Hill’s native plant garden and green burial area, we will notice our bodies in relationship to the ground, the sky, and each other, living and dead. What could it mean to memorialize our grief in movement? Join death doula and choreographer Annie Wilson to find out.

All are welcome–this workshop is accessible and adaptive to all physical mobilities and no dance experience is needed. We all move, we all have bodies, and we all have memories into which we can tap and transform.
