Boneyard Bookworms: June Book Discussion

In June we’ll meet at Laurel Hill West to discuss Tony Kushner’s 1993 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play, Angels in America, set in 1980s New York while the AIDS epidemic surged under the Reagan administration’s deadly silence. As the lives of eight characters intersect, this two-part epic drama traverses history, religion, race, public health, and the American political landscape. Kushner’s profound weaving of brilliant humor and complex grief is an affirmation of life, love, and vitality amid loss and injustice.

All are welcome to drop into Laurel Hill’s monthly book club discussions. For more information about the book club please contact programs@laurelhillphl.com.
