Laurel Hill East•Tag
Magnolias have graced Laurel Hill since 1836, growing from an original nine species to a premier collection of 227 specimens today. The growth of our magnolia collection continues today in tribute to the legacy of Paul W. Meyer, the longtime F. Otto Haas Director of Morris Arboretum & Gardens, who found peace and inspiration among these blooms. The Paul Meyer Memorial Magnolia Collection honors his lifelong passion for dendrology, ensuring that the “aristocrats of the plant world” continue to enchant visitors every spring with their massive blossoms and heady scents.
