James Signorelli’s Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988) is a comedy horror film starring eccentric horror host Elvira, who inherits a house nestled in the heart of an overtly prudish community.  

This screening features a special performance by the legendary showgoul Onyx Ondyx as Elvira! Come at 7pm to take a photo with her as the Mistress of the Dark and peruse local creators at our mini pop-up market. Make sure to get your spot before 8pm, because Onyx will be performing in a pre-show. Don’t miss this screening– you’ll have no complaints.

Parking & Entrance

• RIDE SHARES AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT ARE VERY RECOMMENDED.
• EXTREMELY LIMITED FREE PARKING is available at the Dell Music Center [2400 Strawberry Mansion Bridge Drive]. THERE WILL BE AN EVENT AT THE DELL UNTIL 8PM, SO THE LOT WILL NOT BE FULLY AVAILABLE UNTIL THEN
• Accessible parking will be reserved in the Dell Music Center.
• Enter Laurel Hill East on foot at the South Gate, located on Ridge Avenue at W. Huntingdon Street (at the traffic light, right next to the Dell parking lot).
• For GPS, use 3461 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19132 (apartment complex across the street from South Gate).
• Should parking at the Dell be full when you arrive, street parking in the neighborhood is available.
• Doors will open at the South Gate at 7:00 PM.
• Please bring your ticket bar code, either printed or on your phone, to be scanned at the check-in table at the South Gate.
• Tickets will be available to purchase at check-in (cash or card). Purchase of a ticket gains access to both the market and film screening.

Event Details

• There is a short walk into the cemetery (~5-8 minutes) from the South Gate to the event area. An accessible shuttle is available for anyone with mobility concerns.
• Seating is on the grass and is first-come, first-served.
• BYO blankets or lawn chairs.
• Dogs are permitted if leashed.
• The popup market will be open from 7:00 – 8:30 PM.
• Picnics are welcome, but we encourage you to support our local vendors!
• Food from Byzantine Empire, and La Llamita Vegana, as well as beer, seltzers and cider from Philadelphia Brewing Company, will be available all evening starting at 7:00 PM.
• The film will start at 8:30 PM.
