Working with the healing power of plants can help to decrease stress and anxiety, process grief, and improve overall well-being. Combining eco-mindfulness and creative activities, the workshops in the Nurture with Nature series invite participants to learn about the uses and roles of specific native plants through the lens of natural cycles.

Our last workshop in the series welcomes the pending arrival of Autumn. Flowering plants are beginning to go to seed while shrubs are beginning to bear fruit that will help to sustain bird populations throughout winter. Together, we’ll create our own bird feeder garlands utilizing found seed heads, fruits, leaves, and other natural materials to display in your own garden for your feathered friends. We’ll also learn about some of our native birds, the plants they prefer, and how their roles in the ecosystem are defined by the life, death, and resurrection of the natural world around them.
