Laurel Hill is proud to partner with and support other non-profit organizations whose missions, goals, or activities align with ours. Throughout the year, we work with these groups to host unique events on our grounds to bring awareness to our shared goals.

Goat Walks

Meet the goats of Philly Goat Project at Laurel Hill for a FREE hour-long goat walk. Learn about Laurel Hill’s sustainability initiatives and green burial as we take turns walking the goats.

Be sure to arrive a few minutes early as the walks start promptly at 6PM.

No registration is necessary for this all-ages event, but RSVP is encouraged.

  • Wednesday, May 29 · 6 to 7PM at Laurel Hill East
  • Wednesday, June 5 · 6 to 7PM at Laurel Hill West

Where do we meet?

For walks at Laurel Hill West, we will meet at the Funeral Home parking lot at Laurel Hill West (225 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004).

For walks at Laurel Hill East, we will meet in the Courtyard at Laurel Hill East (3822 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19132).

In case of inclement weather, this event will be rescheduled for the next day (Thursday). Check Philly Goat Project’s website and social media for weather related changes. Same day inquiries please text 215-703-8057.

Woof, Wag + Walk

It’s that time of year for the annual Woof, Wag + Walk – our signature pet event! Join us for a morning of recreational enjoyment for pets and pet parents alike!

We have partnered with Women’s Animal Center for this special pet-focused event which will include a pet-friendly walking tour of the grounds that features some of our favorite pet stories and an opportunity to tour The Laurels, our beautiful pet center. WAC will have information about theiradoption center, vet hospital, and dog training services, enrichment treat/toy making for shelter pets, and pet swag giveaways courtesy of Laurel Hill and Women’s Animal Center.

Pet passes are $20 per pet for the tour by May 15th (early bird registration with code EarlyBird5). After that date, walking passes will be $25. Advance registration is strongly encouraged. All proceeds will go directly to Women’s Animal Center to support our lifesaving mission for animals in need.

This event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Conservatory at Laurel Hill West (215 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA.) The one-hour guided walk and tour is set to begin promptly at 10:15 a.m. (*there is ample parking outside the conservatory)

All four-legged friends are welcome at this pet-friendly event but they must be socialized to be around other animals and on a leash at all times.
