Please Touch Museum

About the GDB

Join us for the 17th annual Gravediggers’ Ball on Friday, October 13th.  Experience the magic, wonder and whimsey of the Please Touch Museum located in a National Historic Landmark building that combines the beauty from the past with the imaginations of today. The Gravediggers’ Ball is the major annual fundraiser for the Friends of Laurel Hill and is a black tie/masquerade event that features full, open bar cocktails all evening; live music, dancing, a costume contest; food stations including hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and dessert; and so much more!

Guests of the Gravediggers’ Ball will have private access to this beautiful historic building – take a ride on a fully restored 1924 Dentzel Carousel featuring hand-carved animals, meander throughout the museum and explore the galleries with their lily ponds, 70-foot flowing river, and hip urban environment with shops, a city park and high rises – all combined with the best Halloween party in the region.

Over the past decade, the Gravediggers’ Ball has raised more than one million dollars toward the preservation and protection of Laurel Hill, providing crucial support in the development of the cemeteries from little-known historic sites into recognized cultural resources for the region.

Please note: There are no physical tickets for the event. Your name will be on our guest list at the door.
