If you plant it, they will come. That’s the idea behind the natural landscape restoration project at Laurel Hill East where Mike McGraw, an ecologist and University of Pennsylvania Ornithology professor, is part of a team building a better habitat for local birds and their food sources.

In this online talk with Professor McGraw, learn about urban ecological stewardship, the fascinating bird communities of Philadelphia, and their many important roles in our ecosystem. We’ll also learn tips for getting started as a new birder and how to participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count, an annual, global event taking place this year at Laurel Hill on February 18.
