Doctor’s Orders – Physicians of LH East & Their Patients

Laurel Hill East

Since the time of Hippocrates, the doctor-patient relationship has been regarded as the foundation of good health care. From the physicians who were closer than a heartbeat to the Presidency or the doctor who prescribed isolation and a milk-based diet to treat anxiety, to the woman who earned France’s highest military award before American women were allowed to vote, doctors and patients have relied on good faith throughout the ages. And yet, no matter the prognosis, treatment or outcome, “death is the destination we all share.” Join us for a fascinating walking tour that examines the relationships between the Cemetery’s most medicinal residents and their patients.
